Virginia has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in small business, association management and meeting & event planning, overseeing all aspects of these business environments including customer satisfaction, operational excellence and financial performance. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. She operates an independent consulting company, Cadre Resources, providing all aspects of association management, educational program development and logistical and meeting production services. Virginia was president of TPG Educational Resources for seven years. She served as senior vice president, account management for The Pharmacy Group, lead the programming and operations for TPG International Health Academy. She served as the deputy executive director for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) for five years and was responsible for directing the activities of the education/meetings department, membership, finance and industry relations. Ms. Sweeter also worked as senior account manager for Courtesy Associates/Smith Bucklin, a conference and association management firm, where she was responsible for developing new business and delivering quality programming to corporate, government and healthcare clients. For eight years, Virginia served as deputy executive director for the American Helicopter Society International, a professional, technical, aerospace association, where she was responsible for trade show management, finance, member/chapter administration, marketing, and branding.
Virginia received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University School of Management. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and is a long-standing member of Meetings Professional International (MPI). Ms. Sweeter is also a member of AMCP and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
